Reproductive health and women’s health in general were looked at in a more holistic way since the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) in Cairo in 1994. The concept of reproductive health as a central component of women’s development was further endorsed during the Fourth World Congress on Women held in Beijing in 1995.
